Brendy Barr Communications Selected to Provide Public Relations Support to The Detroit Institute of Arts
October 3, 2006—Brendy Barr Communications, LLC has been awarded an 18-month contract to assist The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) with media relations for its renovation and reinstallation project.
The DIA has combined the enormous task of the building project with the unprecedented opportunity to reshape the visitor experience. When complete in late 2007, the collection will have been reinstalled in some 150,000 square feet in a way that will allow visitors to more easily make personal connections with the art and to understand the objects in the context of their own place and time.
With its extensive experience within the Metro Detroit media community Brendy Barr Communications, LLC will provide media relations and public relations support for The DIA by developing and implementing local and regional communications plans to create awareness of the project and position The DIA as an innovator among the art museum community.
