All–American Combination—Baseball and Ice Cream—Scores Big

Challenge:
To generate traffic to Cold Stone Creamery stores in Michigan, raise money at the event and obtain media coverage prior to and during the event.
Solution:
BBC invited the Detroit Tigers' wives and their husbands to be celebrity scoopers and promoted their appearance at a local store. An aggressive publicity plan was developed and implemented to appeal to the public's love for ice cream and to raise money for a good cause.
Results:
Many local newspapers, radio and TV stations provided coverage before, during and after the event, which was a huge success.
